I finally got my denial letter yesterday for the shoulder injury I got working at a garden center in Rhinebeck, and my uncle keeps telling me to stop dragging my feet and call a lawyer already. I see all these ads for a free consultation workers comp lawyer Rhinebeck NY and I’m definitely interested, but I’m also the kind of person who freezes up on the phone when I don’t know what to expect. Do they just ask basic stuff like when and where you got hurt, or do they grill you about every little detail and expect you to have all your medical records ready before you even call? I don’t want to sound like an idiot if I don’t know the exact date of my last doctor visit or what my employer’s insurance policy number is. Also, do they usually give you actual advice during that first call, or is it more like a five-minute screening to see if they want to take your case? If anyone has gone through a free consult recently around here, I’d love to know how it went so I don’t go into it totally blind.
