GuestI’ve got a 2015 Mercedes E-Class that’s developed this annoying clunk from the front left whenever I go over speed bumps or uneven roads, and my regular mechanic says it could be anything from a worn sway bar link to a whole control arm assembly. I don’t want to start throwing parts at it blindly, so I’ve been reading up on common suspension issues and came across http://www.royalprinceautocare.com/service/car-suspension-repair/ which seems to have some good info, but I’d really like to hear from someone who’s actually dealt with a similar noise on a W212. Did you end up replacing just the bushings or the entire arm? Also, how can I tell if it’s the ball joint versus the strut mount? I’m handy enough to diagnose if I know what to look for, but I don’t want to get ripped off by a shop that says I need a full suspension overhaul. Any advice on what to check first or a trustworthy place in Dubai that won’t upsell me would be awesome. Thanks.
